Less than 1% of all births in the United States will result in a child with a congenital limb deficiency.  In addition to congenital limb deficiencies are those children who require amputation because of sickness or serious accident.  The intent of the Nebraska Children with Limb Differencess (NCULD) organization is to reach out to Nebraska children affected by limb loss and their families, so that you can understand that while our numbers seem small, you are not alone.
NCULD isn't just about giving you the knowledge needed to understand your child's diagnosis, though we help with that too, we're about providing real support and advice from families that share in your experiences and feelings.  We're about building friendships between parents and most importantly our children, so they too can experience the different life stages with someone who understands their thoughts and feelings firsthand.  We invite you to read through our website and join our community.
Support -  A listening ear and advice from those that share your experiences
Relationships -  Friendships for you and your child throughout life's journey
Education -  Knowledge about your child's diagnosis and available resources
